I finished another book
I read Anne of Green Gables over my break. I was pretty excited about this one because the 13 year old girl in me really, really loves the Anne movies. I have them all on VHS and when I get to have a sick day I pop them in. The movies, as it turns out, are pretty close to the books.
This is one of those things that is on the list of things that I would do with a daughter. I would read the books and watch the movies with her. Sigh....
The book is about an orphan that gets sent to live with a spinster brother and sister by mistake. They wanted to adopt a boy to help around the farm but ended up with a talkative, imaginative, and accident prone girl. The story takes the reader through about four years of her life and we get to see her grow and blossom and of course get herself into all kinds of scrapes. Did I say that I love this book/movie? I do. I really, really do.
Anyway, here is a link to the clip from the movie.
